What is Yoga Therapy?

   Yoga Therapy is a safe, affordable and evidence based therapeutic treatment for health conditions such as: mental health, chronic pain, stress and illness.

Yoga Therapy Pocket Guide

We use treatment approaches from Eastern traditions, blended with Western science based medicine, to provide you with a holistic path to wellness. 


Sessions begin by establishing goals and a clear baseline. From this foundation, a therapeutic plan is designed for your unique needs and current state of well‑being. Progress is tracked throughout to  ensure meaningful, measurable improvements. Therapy can be for individuals or in a group.

Our Therapist

  • Certification as an International Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) through the International Association of Yoga Therapists 
  • Masters Degree program including 800 hours of coursework and extensive clinicals from Spanda Yoga Movement Therapy (an accredited IAYT program)
  • RYT500 Certification from the Yoga Alliance in Himalayan based Kundalini Yoga through Yoga Farm Ithaca in New York and hybrid advanced teacher training through Samadhi Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, India
  • eRYT200 Certification from the Yoga Alliance: 5 years teaching at hospitals, retreats and hotel chain resorts
  • 10 years assisting in physical and occupational rehabilitation therapies at hospitals such as Egleston, Children's Healthcare, Roper St. Francis, Scottish Rite, St. Mary's, MUSC and private and state funded outpatient clinics

 These sessions use movement with the breath to improve multisystem strength and flexibility. We begin by assessing your current range of motion, work through physical and breathing exercises designed to increase functionality, and close out with a kriya for mental focus and concentration.

These sessions use techniques to improve relaxation and decrease stress. Starting with a baseline assessment focused on tension points, we work through the Bartenieff Fundamentals before closing with breathwork and healing meditations.
