#souljourney #yogicpath

Angela, the founder of YOGIC Healing, is a dedicated RYT500/E‑RYT200 Certified IAYT Yoga Therapist with YACEP accreditation. She specializes in Himalayan Kundalini yoga, with a focus on calming the nervous system, reducing stress, and enhancing cognitive function.

Her initial exposure to the yogi life began as a young child when she volunteered on the weekends at nursing homes with her Grandparents, spent a great deal of time in worship with her family, and organized neighborhood kids clubs to help those less fortunate. In high school, she began to study world religions, when her father introduced her to mantra meditation, and she read excerpts from his book on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. Over the next 10 years, she used these teachings while building dual careers in patient therapy and health law, eventually merging paths in transactional law for patient care.

On her legal journey, she stayed close to yoga and spirituality by writing a thesis on why yoga should be covered under the ADA, lobbying for the expansion of reimbursable therapeutic remedies, starting 3 medical legal partnerships for low income households, clerking for a homeless shelter and legal aid clinic under Equal Justice Works, organizing company fundraisers for the homeless, facilitating healthcare access for the homebound as a MUSC Presidential Scholar, serving as a Board Member for Cancer Legal Care and wrote an annual series in the MN Journal of Law, Science and Technology on moral concerns in emerging healthcare technology.

Yoga as therapy came back into her life when she took a self-health yoga challenge for weight loss. While achieving her goals, she also noticed the many positive impacts on chronic stress, concentration and productivity. With a desire to share these benefits with others, she earned a kundalini yoga and meditation teaching certificate in the Himalayan lineage from Yoga Farm Ithaca, began implementing corporate wellness programs, and taught yoga at work, church preschool, resorts, and to private clients.

She then took a pilgrimage to the birthplace of yoga, Rishikesh, India, to study advanced yoga teacher training under spiritual masters at the Samadhi Yoga Ashram, participated in a Shaktipat ceremony, meditated at the Ganges, and received a blessing at the Kunjapuri Devi Temple. In her free time, she enjoys studying Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra (realizing oneness with the soul), spending time with family and friends, volunteering with the Humane Society and at preschool ministry at her church.

She lives a sattvik lifestyle rooted in spirituality, balance, and seva. Her personal mantra, Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu guides her way of life: it is a prayer for universal well-being, compassion, and harmony, encouraging individuals to take responsibility for creating a positive impact through their thoughts, words, and actions. She is passionate about sharing yoga and honored to be a part of her client's journeys.
